Jacqueline Morony, Creative Director & Founder

Jacqueline Morony is an award-winning creative director with more than 17 years’ experience on complex brand development and strategic design projects. 

Bringing strategic insight to the design process, Jacqueline has consulted to a broad spectrum of high-profile organisations across multiple sectors – all with different brand and business challenges. These have included: Emirates SkyCargo, Virgin Group, Virgin Mobile Australia, Google, the Australian Olympic Committee, Fairtrade International, Northern Territory Tourism, National Museum of Australia, News Life Media, Brand Botswana and the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organization. 

Most recently, Jacqueline was the creative lead on a major rebranding project for Western Sydney University. Launched on Open Day 2015, the refreshed brand identity and positioning, seeks to proactively position the University’s offering in an increasingly competitive education sector and reaffirm its place within one of Australia’s fastest-growing socio-economic regions. This project won 'Judges Choice for Design Effectiveness' at the Australian Graphic Design Awards in 2016 and was declared 'Brand of the Year' by Todd Sampson on the ABC's Gruen Transfer.

As a specialist in brand architecture, Jacqueline has worked with Virgin Group on the ‘brand fit’ of new ventures for the Australian market; and advised the Australian Government on the relationship between the brand architecture and organisational structure of its high-profile Australia Awards scholarship program. Jacqueline has also developed brand architecture reviews and reports for Emirates Skycargo, Western Sydney University and for Albury City Council helping to identify brand and communication strengths and weaknesses with the business portfolio and to develop strategies for growth and improved consumer engagement.

A unique aspect of Jacqueline’s work is her expertise in the translation of brands into the built environment. Her experience in the development of placemaking graphics, wayfinding strategy and signage has seen her work on significant projects including the new Google Singapore head office, Western Sydney University’s 2015 Open Day, and Double Bay Library. Jacqueline was also the lead designer and consultant to Macquarie University’s $9 million signage overhaul that is transforming the large campus in Sydney’s northwest. The recently opened Museums Discovery Centre (a collaboration between the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Sydney Living Museums and the Australian Museums) showcases an exciting blend of brand development and experiential graphics.

With a passion for developing future design talent, Jacqueline has also worked as a sessional tutor and lecturer in typography, branding and interactive environments at the University of Technology, Sydney for the past seven years.
